Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative Senior Software Engineer to help us build strong consumer-focused mobile and web products. As a Senior member of our team, you will contribute to the work of a talented group that values diverse ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds. On a daily basis, you will be involved in and responsible for:  

• Design & develop highly scalable backend services using Azure technologies for our eCommerce/Shopping products
• Developing rich cross-platform web and mobile experiences
• Managing complex feature ownership by working with the PM and engineering teams. 
• Participation in the definition of key scenarios, use cases, and end-user experiences. 
• Designing, implementing and refining chosen solutions in close partnership with Product Management and partner teams. 
• Contributing to other engineer’s growth through code reviews, mentoring, support and active collaboration.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of progressively complex and high impact industry experience in software engineering: full-stack, mobile, front-end industry software development
• At least 5 years of experience coding in one or more of the following: C#,  C/C++, Java or other object-oriented programming language, Swift, Kotlin
• Highly proficient in design, coding, debugging and problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Ability to design, architect, and drive large feature or functionality development. 
• Passion for building highly available distributed systems at scale and experiences that users love. 
• A strong desire to collaborate and work as a team, both within and across groups 
• A proven ability to be self-driven and deal with ambiguous business problems. 
• Familiarity with shopping/ecommerce is a plus but not required, as is broader experience in mobile apps development, building backend services and familiarity with Azure or other cloud services.
