What is the opportunity?

This role reports into our Shared Capabilities organization, and you’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow, expanding your knowledge base and getting hands-on experience on release management, SRE, DevOps, and software development for reliability and data visualization.

You’ll have the opportunity to manage the challenges of scale which are unique to FIT applications, while using your expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis and large-scale system design.

What will you do?

• Lead design and development of software components, systems, and features to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of FIT services.
•  Lead sustainable incident response, blameless post-mortems, and production improvements that result in direct business opportunities for FIT.
• Provide guidance to other team members on managing end-to-end availability and performance of mission critical services, on building automation to prevent problem recurrence, and on building automated responses for non-exceptional service conditions.
• Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards, and to cultivate innovation and collaboration across multiple teams.
• Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using Agile approach

What do you need to succeed? 

Must-have

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Full stack software engineer experience with Java, C#, Javascript, React js, Angular, DevOps
• Knowledge of various SQL/NoSQL data storage mechanisms and Big Data technologies.
• Ability to pick up new tools and concepts quickly, learn other coding languages as needed.
•  Hands-on technical leadership experience, producing technical documentation, and contributing to technical direction.
• Hands-on experience in a variety of SRE languages and tools (Ansible, Dynatrace Managed, Moogsoft, PagerDuty, ServiceNow, GitHub, Elastic, Logstash, Kibana, Catchpoint, Mainframe ZEKE, Chef, Splunk)

Nice-to-have

•  Red Hat certified automation engineer
•  Experience with Docker, OpenShift
•  Interest and ability to work on data visualization
