Role Accountabilities:
The Sr. Security Analyst plays an essential role in the safe delivery of IT services to both internal and external clients. Roles & accountabilities are as follows: Participating in the design, implementation, and administration of security tools to reduce risk
Responding to security incidents ranging from endpoint to server and network infrastructure
Conducting security reviews, risk analysis, and controls reviews in adherence to security policy
Perform Penetration Testing and vulnerability/security assessments against both customer, and internal networks, and develop/implement remediation actions.
Researching security advisories, e.g., CERT, and delivering appropriate course of action
Work in partnership with our Managed Services technicians and the remote monitoring and maintenance team to manage and deploy updates/patches to our client base and ensure version compliance
Security monitoring, managing security cases & tickets, security incident analysis, and other security tasks
Provide reports and project updates to other stakeholders at Bell MTS and Bell Canada
Analyzing a variety of security logs to identify actionable events (SIEM reports-alerts-tickets, system, network, security monitoring tools)
Creating documentation to ensure all team members can perform required tasks
Ability to analyze data sets, determine the gaps and create reports on the findings
Following a set of procedures to adhere to standards and policies
Develop/manage the overall security practice for the organization, and provide vCSO consultation to customers
Participate in the development and deployment of security related products/services
Supporting the collection of meaningful and detailed metrics based on security events or activities
Critical Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree computer science or equivalent study, or the right combination of education and relevant industry experience
5+ years in Information systems support, security engineering, or risk and governance
10+ years experience working with a wide range of technologies, including servers/virtualization, endpoint, mobile, network, firewall/security appliances and infrastructure is considered an asset
CISSP, CISA, CISO, and other certifications preferred
Familiarity with commonly used information security concepts, best practices, and standards
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
Good analytic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Prior work experience with a technology-focused service provider such as Managed IT, telecom, or cloud services
Experience and extensive knowledge of ITSM a ITIL concepts & processes
