About the role:
The Workforce and Workplace team provides research and insights into all aspects of current labour market functioning. This includes monitoring labour market developments, evaluating labour market interventions, and conducting primary research.
We are looking for somebody with genuine interest in the big labour market issues; and that is keen to undertake leading edge research and provide analytical leadership across MBIE.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research and Data Analyst in Evidence and Insights in the Data, Insights and Intelligence Branch. This role is perfect for someone who is a high performing data, evaluation, or research professional.

Skills and experience required:
The successful candidate will likely have either a good understanding of the research and evaluation environment within government, or a research background in labour market issues at a University or in the private sector. They will also be able to demonstrate the ability to develop trust and credibility with senior managers, staff and key internal and external stakeholders.
