I am excited to be working with a well-established, Tier 1 / 2 main contractor in Auckland who are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their operation.

This company has been established for over 20 years and predominately focuses on commercial construction projects in Auckland with project values ranging from $5million > $100million although $140 million is their current largest project concern.

You will be the sole QS on one of their High Rise apartment new builds based in Auckland – the ability and desire to help & develop the existing contingent of junior QS professionals is a must have quality.

The successful applicant will report to the Senior Commercial Manager and work closely with the Project Managers, Site Managers and Administration Team to ensure a smooth and efficient build process from start to finish.

Skills / Experience required;

• Relevant diploma/degree
• Commercial high rise experience
• Main contractor experience NZ
• Sole QS experience on a project managing ‘all trades’
• Run full QS scope including but not limited to payments, contract management, variations, final accounts etc
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written as well as a good grasp on modern computer software
• Training & development experience
