The Senior Quality Assurance Construction Assessor provides technical advice, training and support to QA Construction team members within an area of specialism (Homestar, Universal/Accessible design, Off-site manufacturing, Commercial/complex construction and/or Healthy Homes Act). The role will ensure that robust audit/assurance procedures are developed, implemented and maintained around the construction of larger and more complex KÄinga Ora projects. It is accountable for proactively undertaking Homestar built assessments, measuring and monitoring the performance and work by Build Partners, in order to meet C&I strategic objectives and delivery targets.

Trade or other relevant qualification in architecture, building surveying, construction management or building related field.
At least seven years post graduate experience in a similar role or positon.
LBP, BCITO and Unit Standard Assessor Qualifications in construction or design.
Site safe certified or similar H&S experience desirable.
Homestar Assessor or Practitioner qualification desirable.
Sound working knowledge of current residential building code practices, and or experience in property and construction.
Ability to analyse and interpret relevant KÄinga Ora documentation that relates to the work undertaken and contractual roles of responsibilities.
Confidence and sound technical knowledge to engage with professional peers
Demonstrated experience in quality management systems, processes, reporting and record keeping.
Empathy and understanding of social housing is desirable including knowledge of issues, priorities and concerns facing key customer and community groups in the region.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster good stakeholder relationships through consultation and partnership.
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Sound judgement, discretion and proven ability to work under pressure.
The initiative, drive and enthusiasm to work as part of a cooperative team and work independently.
Sound level of computer literacy in Microsoft Windows and Office environment.
Current clean / full NZ driver's licence.
