We are seeking an professional project leader for our Hamilton office.

Veros are a client side project management, development management and advisory firm servicing predominately the central north island with around 30 staff, working across a variety of projects up to $100M in value.

As a result of the successful delivery of a number of projects, Veros have been appointed on a number of projects for both public and private sector clients. Veros are seeking to appoint a person who is interested in a fresh challenge in a new environment, has a high ethical standard, an ability to mentor other staff and an aptitude to strive for future business development.

We are looking for: 

• Candidates with minimum 7-15 years in the industry, previous experience in a client side consultancy role or a construction background.
• Candidates with previous experience leading teams of colleagues, allocating resourcing, and mentoring others.
• Demonstrated ability to build networks and grow the project portfolio.
• An understanding of end-to-end property and development, and to manage projects from inception to completion.
• Candidates, must be adaptable, hardworking, caring, and able to think on their feet.
• Demonstrated ability with formulation of project programmes, budgets, and methodologies to successfully execute projects.
• Ability to procure and lead high performing consultant teams.
• Lead and facilitate contractor procurement processes to achieve best value and quality outcomes.
• Effective management of head contracts throughout the construction phase, coordinate with separate contractors.
• A sound knowledge of robust contract documents, correspondence and reporting including with NZS3910 and 3916 contracts, proven experience acting as Engineer to the contract when required.
• Candidates must have a relevant Tertiary qualification and construction project management skills to be considered for this role.
