What is the opportunity?
 
As Senior project manager within the Governance & Project Management, Wealth Management Products & Strategy team, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and reporting on larger cross-WM LOB initiatives and IT related projects. This role will lead the execution of complex, high impact cross-WM, Segment and Products & Strategy transformational initiatives by partnering and stakeholdering with groups across WM and RBC. You will support the Director, Governance & Project Management with shaping the WM Primary PMO in order to optimize team output and value to the WM organization along with various other activities such as change management, segment and enterprise reporting.
 
What will you do?
 
•    Support the development, execution of project plans and implementation of programs within Products & Strategy (P&S)
•    Partner with the business designated leads on transformational projects
•    Establish and maintain appropriate reporting for PMO program/project governance, segment and enterprise requirements.
•    Support the Director, Governance & Project Management with planning, forecasting and visual trend analysis of Products & Strategy application development and business related project spend
•    Lead and coordinate initiatives to improve business performance measurement and reporting with various stakeholders.
•    Generate management updates and summaries for boards and other senior operating committees.
•    Identify opportunities to streamline processes and increase efficiency
•    Conducts program(s)/project(s) in accordance with RBC Financial Group's standard project management discipline, consistently following RBC's Enterprise Initiative Management Framework.
•    Seeks out industry trends and organization knowledge to understand alternative approaches / solutions.
 
What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
•    Undergraduate degree in business or finance
•    Minimum 5+ years of project management experience and PMP certification
•    Demonstrated leadership ability in leading large cross-enterprise projects/programs with high level of value (benefit/cost), and/or high level of complexity and uncertainty OR managing sub-projects/programs with high level of value (benefit/cost).
•    Strong communication skills and ability to present information effectively and interact with senior management and multiple stakeholders
•    Strong analytical and logical thinking skills with attention to detail
•    Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
•    Knowledge of Planview
•    Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain business tools and applications to enable report development
•    Ability to independently identify strategic and tactical opportunities and priorities
 
Nice-to-have
 
•    Knowledge of Wealth Management and/or Other Banking or Finance Industry businesses.
•    Experience in data management and analysis to generate value-added outputs
•    Experience with Data visualization tools – Tableau, Power Bi, etc.
