The Azure Cloud Database PM team is a data-driven product team that drives the product roadmap for Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, and Hyperscale (Citus). We’re disrupting the $60B+ operational database market with a mission is to empower app developers to achieve more with cloud-native developer-oriented databases. You’ll be working with a passionate and highly talented team with diverse set of skills from highly technical database knowledge, growth-hacking experimentation, developer experience, and enterprise-scale architecture. 

Responsibilities

As a Senior Program Manager for Azure Cloud Database, you will: 

• Engage with our customers (app developers!) to capture customer feedback and deeply understand their needs 

• Apply data driven techniques to identify friction points in the customer’s journeys and validate hypotheses 
• Leverage a deep understanding of user experience and market insights to develop and evolve product strategy and vision 
• Translate that strategy to define solutions to improve the developer experience ranging from seamless setup, user onboarding, user education, sustained engagement, and retention motions.  
• Identify short-and long-term investment opportunities as well as evaluate tradeoffs to turn solutions in to product roadmap. 
• Engage and align cross-functional teams across product, design, engineering, marketing, sales, and support to generate energy, achieve clarity, and execute to deliver results 

• Launch new features and take them to market by writing customer facing collateral, blogs, and presentations to maximize awareness, adoption, and engagement.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of product management experience leading projects or product releases from concept to release in an environment of high ambiguity. 
• 1+ years of app development experience working with modern application interfaces (e.g. GraphQL and/or REST) and developer-oriented databases (e.g. Azure Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Apache Cassandra, DynamoDB, and/or Cloud Firestore) 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Outstanding collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across a large organization to drive decisive action in the absence of direct authority 
• Ability to understand, work with, and create data driven approaches to understand customer behaviors and product usage 
• Experience using cloud developer experiences (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP, etc) to develop an application or service 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
