The Azure IoT team is an open, fun, and diverse team building the Microsoft IoT aPaaS (IoT Central) and PaaS offerings to support a commanding share of the 50 billion IoT devices predicted to be online by the end of this decade.  

The Azure IoT Central Connectivity and Management team is looking for an experienced PM that will work on IoT Central, an aPaaS (application platform as a service) offering that aims to radically simplify the development and operations of mass scale and mass market IoT applications and solutions. You will work across diverse market segments such as manufacturing, connected products, and retail. As a member of the team, you will be engaged across the organization working with engineering, UX designers, business development, and our sales and field teams to produce world class product features that radically simplify and enhance the ways in which millions of devices and edge computing are connected and managed. 

We are looking for candidates with strong technical and market knowledge in areas such as cloud computing, edge computing, and IoT. The best candidates will have a proven track record of delivering high quality products and services working with a highly collaborative team. 

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze customer and partner requirements and feedback, and use that analysis to prioritize feature requirements 
• Combining customer and partner data, technology, product strategy, and creativity to deliver clear feature specifications to the engineering team 
• Collect and analyze product/feature usage data, drive business KPIs and feature roadmap changes based on those insights 
• Work with sales, field, and business development teams to successfully position and support the product 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working in program management, architecture, or software development roles 
• 2+ years of experience in cloud-based systems and products 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, similar engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience. 
• Ability to define customer-focused scenarios, author detailed functional specifications and work with partner teams to ensure that scenarios are delivered end-to-end 
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and across disciplines as a contributor or leader 
• Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication 
• Experience in building and successfully delivering IoT products 
• Experience with frontend / backend open-source technologies 
• Experience developing PaaS services for a cloud platform
