Microsoft’s Connected Vehicle Platform (MCVP) team in Azure Mobility group is looking for a stellar technical program manager to drive delivery of our cloud platform as PaaS that will revolutionize people transportation and goods delivery.  MCVP team is focused on large vehicle manufacturers (OEMs), mobility service providers, fleet service operators who sell and lease mobility as well as vehicles to consumers.  In this role, you will work closely with engineering and other internal teams in Azure IoT to drive platforms integration and deliver on commitments to delight our customers.

Responsibilities

As a member of our team, you will participate in all stages of our engineering lifecycle.  Specifically, you will:

 

  • Drive cross-team alignment, priorities, planning and engineering execution to deliver a single, solid IoT platform to delight our customers and help Microsoft compete in the market.
  • Work closely with engineering, and other teams in Azure IoT to identify opportunities and areas of platform integration.
  • Manage workstream status, risks & mitigations, and regularly report to Azure IoT leadership with concrete next steps and asks.
  • Work with diverse opinions and negotiate solutions balancing customer requirements and business goals.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical program manager role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS or MS in computer science, related degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of Azure, AWS, or similar cloud computing platforms
  • Experience delivering large scale PaaS or SaaS that span multiple services teams
  • Experience with creating detailed roadmaps to coordinate the efforts across multiple engineering teams
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present to large audiences.
  • Experience in leading complex, cross-team initiatives and delivering success.
  • Proven ability in driving clarity and simplicity from ambiguity and complexity.
  • Ability to learn the value chain in an industry deeply to observe opportunities for innovation.
  • Knowledge or experience of Azure IoT
  • Knowledge or experience with MQTT broker
  • Experience working with IoT devices.

 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
