The Senior Product Owner is responsible for the management and prioritization of product backlog for multiple pods within a product increment.  The incumbent will work closely with product managers to program planning and road mapping.  In addition, they will lead, mentor, and lend their expertise directly to product owners on the team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, and prioritize the day-to-day backlog of user stories for multiple pods within a PI (product increment or 3 sprints)
  • Guide Product Owners on story elaboration, grooming, and story acceptance.
  • Work with Product Managers on program planning and roadmap
  • Communicate across various workstreams and stakeholders outside of the Agile development team 
  • Participate in all pod level agile ceremonies
  • Coordinate with other Product owners and Product managers to ensure dependencies are accounted for and enablers are properly prioritized 
  • Act as a mentor for junior Product Owners and a change agent for your peers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of delivering digital commerce experiences.
  • 2+ years of experience working in an Agile/continuous delivery model
  • Demonstrable ability to identify and document solutions to complex problems
  • Strong management, organizational and planning skills
  • Solid communication skills
  • Enjoys coaching and mentoring 
  • Advanced understanding of web and mobile technologies
  • Prior experience with quality assurance a plus, but not required
  • Airline or travel industry experience a plus, but not required
  • Coding or design experience a plus, but not required
