We are seeking a senior (steps 8 – 11 of the Pharmacy Collective Agreement) pharmacist to take up a permanent position based at Waikato Hospital. This full time position would ideally suit a NZ registered pharmacist with more than 5years of hospital experience and a post-graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy however other candidates will be considered.
Key roles will include:
• Conducting clinical activities within the oncology/haematology service on a day to day basis giving yourself the opportunity to focus and develop your clinical skills in this particular area
• Undertake coaching and mentoring of less experienced pharmacists, and to help coordinate activities within the area of practice.
As part of the wider pharmacy team, you may also work in the in-patient dispensary and compounding services as required, as well as having opportunity to work in Waikato DHB’s community pharmacy (Pharmacy on Meade, situated in Waikato Hospital) and participate on the on call roster.
