Bell is currently seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Senior Specialist – Offensive Security – Bell Canada Red Team. Reporting to the Red Team Senior Manager, the candidate is conducting offensive security testing and adversarial simulations as part of Bell’s security testing program.
We are seeking a result-oriented candidate with extensive Information Security experience who possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills. The work environment is dynamic and requires the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidates will have a can-do personality who thinks outside of the box and is driven by change. Ability to work with minimum details, self-discipline, high sense of delivery and the ability to strictly follow rules of engagement are crucial skill and be able to participate in a wide scope of work that is ever changing.
Job duties/ Accountabilities:
Plan, organise, simulate, execute and document complex and original attack scenarios as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Act as senior member of the Bell Canada Red Team, conducting offensive security operations within Bell Canada’s infrastructure to proactively identify weaknesses.
Document findings into actionable items for proper remediation.
Research emerging threats, vulnerabilities disclosures and incident response reports in order to weaponize these findings into actionable attacks and scenarios.
Promote and provide feedback on the overarching security testing program in order to achieve effective testing enterprise wide
Anticipate issues and difficult situations and take the necessary steps to resolve them.
Contribute to the team skills development and knowledge sharing
Provide support to the Security Incidents Response team when required
Critical Skills/ Competencies:
Candidates must possess:
A mix of relevant and acceptable academic background with experience in Information Security testing and management
Strong hands-on experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools
Extensive experience with advanced security testing techniques
Ability to assimilate and understand security testing results to determine their efficacy
Proven ability to manage successful business relationships with stakeholders in various departments and at different levels of management
Working independently in a virtual environment and collaborative tools
Excellent communication skills both oral & written
Strong PC (preferably both Linux and Windows) & Internet skills including working at the intermediate level in MS Office programs
Proven leadership skills, strong planning & organization skills
Solid understanding of IT, Network and Security environments
Comfortable to manage ambiguity, uncertainty and constant changing priorities
Strong interpersonal skills and sense of team spirit
Ability to develop scripts/tools for repetitive tasks
In addition, preference will be given to candidates who possess any of the following certifications:
Recognized IT Security certification (OSCP, Security+, CISSP, GPEN, GCIH,...)
Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies
Strong and structured scripting/coding skills.
Knowledge of code repositories, automation technologies, cloud and containers.
