Job Duties/Accountabilities:

 Our team mission is to accelerate Bell transformation assembling a common programmable network engine. Data is the central pillar that will make our mission a success. We are excited to explore uncharted territories with our data engineering and data science practice leveraging one of the largest data infrastructures in the industry. Bell’s national network produces tons of rich data, and we are fully committed to have fun while using it! We are seeking an energetic Sr Manager to join our team.

• You will lead a team of data scientists building AI/ML supporting strategic processes of network build and operation
• You will be responsible for building strategic programs with plenty of resources to directly impact Bell’s top imperatives
• You will deal with a variety of cutting-edge technologies, opportunities to innovate with start-ups and build strategic partnerships in the AI/ML space
• You will contribute to a highly collaborative model that favours diversity and openness
• You will have a key role and the opportunity to grow inside the organization 

 Critical Skills/ Competencies:

• 5 years+ in data strategy and analytics experience with progressively increasing responsibilities
• 7 years+ in team leadership; recognized for the way she/he interacts and motivates people
• Ability to build roadmaps based on business demand and can drive execution to success
• A solid understanding of machine learning, data management, and visualization techniques
• A fundamental collaborative approach and can establish internal and external business partnership

• Superior coaching & problem-solving skills, able to raise his team’s game through experiment
• Team player attitude, adaptable to uncertain and changing needs
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, (and a good sense of humour)

 Preferred Skills:

• Bilingual (French/English)
• Masters/ PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent quantitative science
• Previous experience in scaling data engineer and/or science practice as business demands exponentially grow
• Any previous experience in the telecommunications industry (wireline, wireless, operator, supplier, etc.)
• Entrepreneur mindset focused on development through iterative/experimentation methods
• Participation in lots of technology & practice communities
