The opportunity
EY’s Tax Technology and Transformation (TTT) team takes a holistic approach to tax transformation, leveraging enterprise and innovative technologies to deliver practical solutions to clients.
TTT services to some of the world’s largest corporations in response to the impact of existing and emerging technology, including the growing data burden that many businesses face, driving efficiencies to create a cost-effective tax function and the need to understand how to make data an asset. The underlying objective of the combined offerings is to help businesses navigate the digital age of tax, alongside new trends in tax compliance and tax audit methods.
Your key responsibilities
Management and oversight of the delivery of a range of tax technology projects, including oversight of assigned tasks and monitoring them until completion across a range of projects including:
Tax technology strategy and road mapping
Tax operating model transformation, including process improvement, risk, and controls
Enterprise (i.e. ERP and EPM) technology projects for Tax
Tax analytics and reporting enhancement, including direct and indirect tax systems implementation and configuration
Custom tax technology application development and deployment
Identifying solutions for clients to transform and automate manual tasks using existing financial or tax systems and emerging technologies
Leading go-to market and business development activities to nurture client relationships and generate new revenue
Improving reporting capabilities to enhance our clients’ ability to evaluate risk and capitalize on opportunities
Supporting project team members in any way needed to help ensure timely completion of deliverables
Build and maintain relationships with our tax clients and technology providers
Grow and nurture the team through active recruiting and career development
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role you must have
A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and/or a degree in Finance, Accounting, Technology, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science or related field and a minimum of eight years of related work experience
Demonstrated ability to win, scope and deliver finance or tax technology projects
A strong interest in technology and its use in business processes
Excellent communication and business writing skills
A natural flair for problem solving and an entrepreneurial approach to work
Strong organizational and time management skills, with exceptional client-serving consulting skills
Ability to lead a team, mentor counselees and manage client-serving business
Ideally, you’ll also have
Previous experience implementing third-party tax or finance systems
Data Analytics and Automation experience
Tax or Finance Function Transformation experience
Excellent critical thinking and attention to detail
Excellent communication and ability to influence

The preferred applicant will be subject to employment screening by EY or by their external third party provider. Regarding this role, the minimum salary is $150,000 including 10% superannuation.
