The Role:
The Senior Manager, Strategy & Planning is a market-focused product leadership role within the Business IoT & Mobility Solutions Practice. In collaboration with our product leaders and partners across the organization, you will leverage best practices and bring though leadership to accelerate new market opportunities and drive new revenue sources for Bell.
In a critical and strategic planning role, you will collaborate with the Product, Marketing, Finance and Network teams within Bell and our partners to provide business insights and recommendations that drive investments and shape future business growth. You will play a vital role in providing strategic direction as well as the responsibility to orchestrate the execution of our business plan.
Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate with thought leaders across the organization on Bell’s long term strategic plan and annual tactical execution to drive Bell’s leadership in the market across IoT, 5G and mobility products
Actively survey the market for leading performance indicators, competitive differentiation, opportunities and risk mitigation strategies
Collaborate with product leaders across the Business IoT & Mobility Solutions team to measure and report out on financial and product / project performance against strategic and tactical initiatives
Responsible for developing, measuring and managing the financial planning lifecycle (revenue, capital / opex expenditures, supplier settlements, funnel tracking) for designated products and provide key summaries, insights and recommended actions for executive alignment and execution
Lead projects, business reviews and deep dives that include business performance, analysis / investigations on strategic initiatives and deliver insights and recommendations at the Director, VP and EVP level to support decision making
Participate as the product subject matter expert to drive operational and customer experience improvements through business transformation initiatives of IoT and mobility products
Experience/Core competencies:
5+ years of practical experience in product management, consulting or M&A focused roles
Experience in delivering business planning and financial expertise to senior leaders
Solid understanding of the telecommunications industry, IoT, software and technology industries
Strong critical thinking skills to effectively prioritize and rationalize decision making in a complex environment
Effective communicator that can influence others across departments and levels of the organization
Recognized for building relationships and leading cross functional teams in product, technology, IT, marketing and sales to deliver on objectives
Excellent time management, organization and planning skills across concurrent deliverables under tight timelines
Self-motivated and having a high standard of performance
University degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline
