The Bell Consumer team is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Manager – Subscribers Forecasting and Reporting. Reporting to the Director, Planning & Strategy, the Senior Manager will lead a team of analysts responsible for the residential consumer portfolio.  The team is responsible for forecasting and analysis of subscribers, and will be responsible for the development and production of short-range and long-range subscriber outlooks. They will continually work to refine models and forecasting methodologies to improve accuracy and reflect changes in business strategy. In an ever-changing and dynamic environment, they need to be flexible, have strong time management skills and be capable of balancing many projects simultaneously with short deadlines for completion. This position calls for a detail oriented individual with demonstrated strengths in market analysis, forecasting, and performance management. 

 

The successful candidate is an energetic and enthusiastic team player with a demonstrated history of collaborating with numerous partners and cross-functional teams to achieve results. They have prior experience in the cable/telecom industry and well developed forecasting, business intelligence and market analysis skills. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of subscribers forecasts (short-range and long range outlooks, annual budgets, multi-year plans) as well as ad-hoc strategic planning analyses for consumer portfolio
  • Identify key subscribers activities drivers and collaborate with partners to establish accurate reporting and forecasts
  • Provide detailed analysis of subscriber performance, identifying trends, and taking ownership of forecasting models
  • Analysis of daily/weekly results across all drivers to identify risks/ opportunities and generate useful insights to help establish business direction with others and improve the performance of the business
  • Manage the performance results report with regular weekly, monthly and quarterly analysis and associated variance analysis
  • Monitoring KPIs such as churn, activations, market penetration and share gain to identify plan risks/ opportunity
  • Prepare, summarize and present forecasts / analysis to senior leadership team
  • Provide input to strategic planning, business planning and budgeting exercises
  • Perform market research, sizing market opportunities using internal and external data, and competitive and industry benchmarking for consumer wireline products
  • Analyze and summarize industry data  to facilitate decision-making at an executive level
  • Provide inputs to strategic planning, business planning and budgeting exercises 


Critical Qualifications/Competencies: 

  • University degree in business, finance, economics, computer science, marketing, engineering or a related area; MBA or professional designation (CA, CPA, CFA) preferred
  • 3+ years experience in financial analysis, market planning or forecasting roles, specifically in the telecommunications industry
  • Demonstrated strength in market analysis, forecasting, and business analytics 
  • Solid business analytics, financial acumen and problem solving skills combined with a strong ability to synthesize data to tell a story that enables  informed decision making     
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Curiosity, rigor, creativity and imagination in seeking answers to complex questions 
  • Ability to build compelling, executive-level presentations and to deliver recommendations with confidence
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and ability to transform raw data into actionable insights and build robust forecasting models
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making at various levels of the organization
  • Self-starter, with the ability to manage and drive projects with limited supervision and to manage multiple projects in an organized manner
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – PowerPoint & Excel specifically
