Job Description
What will you do?
Foster relationships with CAO Segment PMOs to create alignment and function as a single federated community
As the 1st Line of Defense for CAO PMO, oversee the CAO Project portfolio, ensuring adherence to Enterprise Initiative Management Policy and Standards, supporting programs and teams in initiative reporting to senior leadership
Implement the use of Planview SaaS tool for CAO Sponsored PARs reporting
Evolve key delivery activities/practices, including, but not limited to: status reporting, financial reporting, artifacts management, benefits tracking, Enterprise Initiative Management Framework alignment, etc.
Assess the project risk key controls, processes, and procedures that are in place and evaluate that they are operating effectively per policies
Represent the CAO Program Management Office (PMO), working in collaboration with the Project Risk Group (PRG), Enterprise Segment PPMOs and Agile CoE
Identify potential process improvement opportunities and best practices at the program/project level, and lead the process development activities
What do you need to succeed?
Must-haves:
5+ years Project/Program Management experience in a highly matrixed environment, utilizing enterprise frameworks such as EIMF, IWF, and/or AMF
Strong written and verbal communicate skills, able to effectively work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Proven experience with stakeholder management, facilitation and presentation skills
Portfolio reporting experience, with demonstrated skills in analytical thinking, planning, organization, prioritization and attention to detail
Organizational Change Management thought-leader, able to effectively assess stakeholder impact and risks/barriers, tactically plan to support successful adoption of new ways of working and sustainment
In-depth working knowledge of RBC Project Management Tools such as MIS, PlanView (on-prem), PlanView SaaS, PlanView LeanKit and Confluence/JIRA; MS Office Tools such as Excel, Visio, PowerPoint; along with Connect and SharePoint page creation and maintenance
Nice-to-haves:
PMP Certification
Strategic mindset, with excellent knowledge and understanding of RBC businesses and organization
Job Summary
We’re looking for someone to lead the CAO Project Management Office, to drive value realization through portfolio management and governance, standardized initiative delivery practices and enablement of the practitioner community as delivery continues to evolve.
Key Focus areas for Delivery Excellence Include:
• Evolve delivery practices in accordance with Enterprise Initiative Risk Policy and Standards
• Enable practitioner readiness for the future of delivery
• Drive engagement and knowledge share within the practitioner community
Reporting to the Director, Project Risk Advisory & Governance Oversight, the Senior Manager, Portfolio Management will evolve the CAO PMO, focusing on portfolio governance and management that can be shared out across the CAO, ensuring adherence to Enterprise Initiative Risk Policy and Standards and ORM guidelines.
