IT Infrastructure manages Bell’s IT Infrastructure and the service availability of over 700 applications, including mission critical billing and service systems. The IT Infrastructure teams support the IT Work Program with capital and operating expense invested in initiatives that support business unit priorities and Bell’s strategic imperatives
The Bell Infra IT Contracts team is accountable to manage IT software/hardware maintenance and application support and managed services contracts, ensuring the program satisfies business needs and to drive cost savings within that program. The team manages 500+ contracts with more than 250 suppliers.
Job duties / accountabilities:
The team is currently looking for a leader with proven and recognized IT experience, negotiation skills, relationship management, and financial analysis skills which will be applied to lead the management of Bell and its subsidiaries IT CGI and IBM managed service contracts (CGI OSA, CGI USA and IBM MISA). This senior manager will have one person as direct report.
Reporting to the director for IT contract management, key accountabilities for this role include (but not limited to) the following:
- Supporting project teams thru CGI negotiations for any new work/services for any OGS change (Tier 1 and Tier 2)
- Manage the Outsourcing Vendor relationship on behalf of the Bell team ensure Outsourcing Vendor meets performance targets and monitor any impact of change in Outsourcing Vendor’s business could have on Bell.
- Accountable to manage the financial targets assigned through monthly forecasting exercise, and lead the 3 year strategic planning and annual budget planning preparation for CGI OSA, CGI USA and IBM MISA
- Negotiate small to medium contract change orders directly with the Outsourcing vendors and/or through the Procurement team
- Participate in vendor SW/HW audits, providing any requested contract information.
- Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure and the IT Delivery teams to perform requirements collection and validation required to support negotiations of annual pricing and revisions and or decommissioning of services.
- Document contracts details and financial information in Asset Management Inventory Tool
- Present recommendations to the team and Director IT Contracts – potential to interact with VPs
- Work with the Procurement team to complete Compliance and Corporate Security requirements for contracts.
- Communicate and document contractual information upon completion of the negotiation of an outsourcing agreement.
- Adhere to corporate governance and policies that include appropriate approvals, taxation rules, accounting classifications, etc.
- Perform all required activities to process SOWs and invoices related to CGI and IBM outsourcing contracts.
- In collaboration with the team, assist in creating/updating all documentation used to describe current Contract Management status and financial reporting to various organizational levels
- Work with the Contract Management Team to identify workflow gaps for the purpose of improving and simplifying departmental processes.
- Participate in yearly planning cycles with the Director - IT Contracts.
Critical Qualifications / Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or technology
- At least 7 year experience in IT environment with excellent communication skills and the ability to understand and articulate to all levels of management representing both technical and business perspectives
- Excellent communication skills both oral & written
- Strong leadership skills and sound ability to work with ambiguity
- Coaching, development and people management experience in fast-paced virtual environments
- Proven ability to manage successful business relationships with stakeholders in various departments & at different levels of management
- Project management competencies that can be applied regardless of situation or initiative
- Strong analytical thinker with ability to associate technical tasks as well as relate to pertinent business processes
- Strong Relationship Management skills to effectively partner with vendors and other business groups to achieve the Business Unit goals
- Strong PC skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
