Job Description:

Within the Bell Business Markets (BBM) Finance group, the Senior Manager Finance leads the financial management and reporting of the Create (Product and Marketing) team and Special projects. We are looking for a dynamic and responsible self-starter, who is detail-oriented and can work collaboratively with others while managing a financial analyst. The candidate will work closely with the Create leaders to ensure a detailed financial understanding of the business and drive efficiencies by conducting financial analyses, project results, planning, and forecasting, and prepare and review management reporting.  The candidate will lead Special Projects for the SG&A team as well.

 

Job Duties/Accountabilities: 

  • Support the SVP Create, and its VP and Director teams, on all financial matters; act as a value-added partner to the business
  • Prepare and present month end financial management reports for Finance and Business Executives – SG&A and Headcount.
  • Perform adhoc analysis & special reports to support decision making and the resolution of issues.  Drive financial improvements in the business.
  • Working closely with the business to understand and evaluate key business trends and to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial results/metrics that incorporate the business story in the variance analysis 
  • Support the business leaders with monthly financial reporting and specific analysis, and conduct forecasting and budgeting reviews
  • Recommend and implement process improvement, identifying areas of overlap and potential efficiency gains

 

Critical Qualifications/Competencies: 

  • 7+ years of financial/accounting experience
  • Accounting designation
  • Confident with strong leadership and communication/presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience managing financials, building a plan and executing 
  • Experience working closely with Senior Management
  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure with changing priorities in a complex environment 
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

 

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies: 

  • Experience amalgamating information from multiple financial systems
  • Flexible schedule during month/year end periods
  • People leader experience
