What is the opportunity?
You will support the Enterprise Strategy & Transformation (ES&T) team in developing and articulating RBC’s enterprise strategy and strategies for select lines of business or cross-business initiatives. This includes preparing materials for Board, Segment, and Line of Business leaders. ES&T is organized under the RBC Chief Administrative & Strategy Officer to drive RBC's strategic agenda across the Board, CEO, and GE level. The team serves as thought partners to senior executives, offering targeted support for the highest priority and most complex strategic problems. The team also acts as a catalyst for enterprise transformation, cross-platform collaboration, and new capability development.
What will you do?
- Support the annual enterprise strategic development process, business portfolio review, and related senior leader off sites/events to advance RBC’s strategy
- Lead strategic reviews of segments, lines of business, functions and key initiatives
- Ensure growth strategies are well developed, articulated and aligned across businesses and with enterprise perspective/priorities
- Perform strategic analyses for Group Executive, segment Operating Committees, and Enterprise Strategy Office
- Produce materials for Enterprise Strategy Office, Group Executive and Board for review, discussion, and decision
- Support senior leaders, strategists, functions and cross- functional project teams with rigorous strategic insight based on thorough research and analysis
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 3+ years of experience in Corporate Strategy, Consulting, Capital Markets or product management/strategy experience within a Financial Services, FinTech or technology company
- Experience with new/emerging businesses and digital business models
- Demonstrated ability in project design, management and implementation
- Interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships at every level of the organization
- Strong written and oral presentation skills and presence; strong technical ability with PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and across different lines of business
Nice-to-have
- MBA or graduate / post-graduate or professional designations or equivalent
- Minimum two years of deep and broad management consulting experience with an emphasis on business strategy
