What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will be part of Loyalty Portfolio Management and Analytics team, a COE supporting data and insights needs of Loyalty and Rewards Group (Strategic Partnership, Enterprise Partnership, Rewards Loyalty and Offers teams). You will identify and lead technical solutions to optimize current processes, through synergizing data sources, developing self-serve tools, and partnering with cross-functional data SMEs.
What will you do?
- Act as subject matter expertise about Offers data (RBC Offers and Ampli Offers), and RBC card transaction data in RBC internal warehouse or source tables, leading data solutions in support of transformational initiatives of Loyalty and Rewards, to adding new linked loyalty partner data, and identify data solutions that provide efficiency and holistic view of offers value from clients and merchants perspective
- Identify, plan and deploy opportunities to achieve higher operational efficiency, through improving data qualities ingested from different sources, automated existing manual processes, and developing templates and systems for repeatable processes
- Support business stakeholders in identifying needs for additional data acquisitions, and coordinate plans to orchestrate data acquisitions
- Partner and collaborate with other internal data partners (CIDM, Decision Management, CIDM) in providing automated reporting through different Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau and Thoughtspot
- Define, communicate and enforce reporting and analytics standards, policies and data governance
- Linked Loyalty data in internal data warehouse for tracking and reporting purpose
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- Advanced experience in managing and analyzing complex data using different data sources using SQL and Python. Experience of RBC internal data warehouse (DWE)
- Knowledge in developing Tableau dashboards for reporting
- Proven analytics and problem solving skills
- Instinctive curiosity and strategic mindset to drill into the analytics to understand business drivers and predict business growth and the technical ability to apply this knowledge to resolve complex business questions
- Leadership skills with ability to lead, collaborate, motivate, challenge and influence cross functional teams to deliver superior results
- Communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels of the company and have a talent for making the numbers, measure and targets come alive
- 5-7 years of related work experience
Nice to have:
- Previous work experience within Cards or Banking business, Merchant Partnership or Loyalty experience an asset
- Advanced analytics (R, real-time analytics , Advanced Visualization)
- Experience with Enterprise Data Lake, Hardoop, ETL process
- University degree in a quantitative field of study (e.g., statistics, economics, business) to demonstrate ability for critical thinking & numerical analytics
