Senior Manager- Central Risk & Governance

Job Description

• Candidates must have 5+ Years experience in conducting Risk and Control Assessments, IT Risk Assessments, Risk Mitigation Strategies, and/or other Centres of Governance assessments according to the Enterprise Operational Risk Standard and IT Risk Centre of Governance Risk Assessment Standard as defined in the annual plan and identified through the E&IA Risk & Governance (R&G) Forum.
• Support, review and approve Integrated Risk Profiles, ensuring the process is completed according to the Enterprise Operational Risk Standard.
• Acts as the first point of contact for the E&IA Vertical R&G leads.
• Coach’s staff and Senior Management in understanding and managing operational risk within their unit.
• Supports the identification of key priorities through a risk based approach and communicates to the SVP and SMT.
• Leads execution of approach for standards and initiatives, including providing status updates to the EIA R&G Forum members and to the SVP and SMT.
• Provides advice and counsel to management on operational risk issues, compliance and risk mitigation.
• Analyzes areas of perceived elevated or emerging operational risk, throughout all areas of the segment.
• Analyzes and identifies trends in Findings, Incidents, OREs, RCSAs and other sources of data and defines plans to address them.
• Assists in the identification and production of risk metrics/scorecards and dashboards for E&IA management.

Job Summary

This role supports the execution of the E&IA Risk & Governance forum including the implementation and execution of operational and IT risk management within Enterprise & International Applications. Supports the articulation, monitoring and management of segment operational risk profiles, risk appetite, and plans. This role will provide technical advice and support to Vertical Risk & Governance Leads and/or ORM Managers on Operational and IT Risks. The role will also assist with gap analysis, implementation and control design for new Operational and IT Risk Policies and Standards. The role executes the standards, processes, and tools for the segment within the Enterprise Operational Risk Management framework thereby ensuring operational risk practices inform decision making by businesses, senior management and the executive.
