The role
Our incumbent has taken the next step of their career within our wider Culture and Capability team, so we're looking for a new Senior Learning & Development Advisor to replace them. In this exciting role, you'll be designing and delivering learning solutions that support our people to build capability to be successful in their roles making Wellington absolutely positivity amazing.
We have a big programme of work for you to sink your teeth into, initially leading the next stage of our leadership development redevelopment and finalising our Skills for Managers Programme to ensure it is fit for purpose, integrated solution for our Council leaders. You'll be immersed in supporting the implementation of a capability uplift plan, as well as designing and developing innovative and targeted learning solutions across the organisation.
Another exciting aspect of the role will be implementing the future design principles from our MÄori Capability framework.
As a senior member of the L&D team, you'll also provide mentoring and coaching to other members of the team as well as our learning leads in other teams at the Council, sharing your deep expertise and experience to grow L&D capability right across WCC.
A bit about you
You'll have a wealth of L&D experience and expertise, and a track record of developing and implementing management, leadership and core and common organisational learning and development initiatives.
You are someone who takes pride in getting things done, you'll think strategically, connecting the dots to ensure things are linked and integrated and be a strong communicator and love getting out into the business to understand their needs and build critical relationships.
You'll have the creative flair, drive and energy, with an uncanny ability to see how multiple things align and integrate together - as well as being across the detail.
