Job Requirements
- Supervise availability of the applications, work with other support teams in case of exceptions and resolve the incidents.
- Resolve incidents and adhoc requests, handle operational changes.
- Participate in identifying problems, perform root cause analysis, contribute to knowledge base.
- Supervise and advise support team in case of exceptions and also provide update to applications owners and business stakeholder on the status and the potential impact.
- Take ownership of tickets including any customer communication and handle queries / clarifications from the customer.
- Identify process improvements that will stabilize both online and batch processes in applications.
- Provide daily status updates on tasks assigned to the Sr. Service Analyst / Service Lead - Ensure incidents, Service requests, Operational change requests and improvements are handled within the agreed targets.
- Responsible for coordination with other support groups (such as infrastructure, product vendor etc.) - Align with defined process during task execution (including problem management, KEDB management etc.).
- Participate actively during Knowledge transition (KT sessions), Complete mandatory training for self as identified in the training plan for the project.
- Act as a buddy for new hires, when assigned by supervisor.
Skill Requirements
- A Java Development Expert with more than 7+ years of overall software development experience.
- Experience working with AWS integration is important.
- Experience building server-side apps using Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring framework, Hibernate and crafting web services or APIs using REST (and SOAP), is a must.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle 11+, PL/SQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Elasticsearch is helpful.
- Exper3eince working with Angular JS.
- On the architecture side, knowledge and awareness about Service Oriented Architecture, Mesh App, and Service Architecture is meaningful.
- On the design side, a phenomenal level of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design experience and a good understanding of the UX design principles is ideal.
- Knowledge and experience in test-driven development, microservices, event-driven implementation using Kafka is a bonus.
- Source control using GitHub (and/or RTC).
- Coding using IntelliJ (and/or Eclipse, RAD), WebStorm (or Visual Studio Code).
- Developing servers using Tomcat (and/or WebSphere).
- Build automation using Maven (and/or Gradle).
- Testing using JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine / Jest, Postman / SoapUI.
- Code quality using SonarQube, FindBugs, CheckStyle.
- Software packaging using docker containers.
- Deploying into OpenShift/Kubernetes.
- Collaborating in an Agile Scrum/Kanban environment
