National Bank’s Finance sector is continuing to group financial and informational data together to facilitate decision-making and information disclosure. The Transactional Accounting – Treasury and Financial Markets sector will play a major role.
Your role :
Take on an advisory and technical role in the various activities that have major impacts on the Bank
Ensure the maintenance and optimization of reports that meet the needs of Finance groups and other sectors
Ensure consistency in the sector’s reconciliation tools with the Senior Analyst
Ensure the quality and relevance of financial data for data consumers
Understand business issues, identify and analyze the Finance sector’s needs, document requests, and prepare recommendations in order to design processes to meet those needs and facilitate decision-making
Support the documentation of the information and accounting transformation processes to contribute to the evolution of the Finance sector data
Participate at the working sessions with Information Technology to develop data solutions
Ensure support with the Capital Management, Risk Management and Treasury teams as a data expert
Maintenance of financial data lifecycle processes
Develop and implement solutions in financial data reconciliation systems
Competencies required:
A completed bachelor’s degree in a related field plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a completed master’s degree in a related field plus 3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of MS Access or SQL
Experience in data initiatives and query processing
Experience in financial data management and/or large database management
Excellent knowledge of financial products (securities and derivatives); an asset
Diligence, accountability, priority management in a constantly changing environment
Ability to work as a team, collaborate and make decisions
Proven communication and leadership skills, and creativity
Bilingualism, both spoken and written (English and French)
