Job Title - Senior DevOPS/Cloud Engineer

Working Hrs.: 7.25 Hrs. / day
Note: Due to COVID-19 restrictions the consultant will be working remotely until restrictions are lifted.
Must Haves:
Cloud technologies (IBM OpenShift, DevOps, Kubernetes, Docker)
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
Expertise [35%]
• Design, implement, and maintain highly available infrastructure on IBM OpenShift Container Platform, Kubernetes, AWS and Azure (ROSA, Teraform, Cloud Formation)
• High availability, high performance, hybrid/migrated to public cloud storage solution with AWS (on premise Oracle to RDS/ RDS on Vmware/Red Shift)
• Cluster configuration, security, back up and logging in Multi Namespaces (Cloud Pak for Data, Linux, CLI, Valero, ElasticSearch)
• Python Scripting languages (Spark, Lambda) and Unix Script (Cron jobs)
Core Skills and Experience [25%]
• Analysis skills for assessment of existing technology solutions, stakeholder analysis etc., at a technical lead level (10+ years).
• Knowledge of Data Governance and Data Quality patterns, best practices, and processes (3+ years)
• Experience in developing Cloud architectural artefacts according to industry standards and methodologies (7+ years)
• Knowledge of container-based virtualization technology like Docker. (7+ years)
• Experience in managing successful transition of legacy BI platforms (such as Cognos) to BI platform on Cloud
• Experience in the design and delivery of presentations and workshops to technical and business stakeholders. (10+ years)
• Experience in negotiation with external Vendors and Internal IT and Data providers. (10+ years)
General Experience [10%]
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with client stakeholders to understand, interpret business requirements and its technical implications.
• Demonstrated ability to present technical solutions to client stakeholders, technical staff and to senior management.
• Demonstrated technical leadership to lead and direct technical team during implementation.
Responsibilities:
Design, build and support cloud environments to create digital products
Monitor and assess the performance of applications in a cloud environment to ensure solutions are available
Create, test and implement safeguards to maintain data integrity and protect against unauthorized access
General Skills:
Experience in one of the leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, etc
Experience in maintaining complex Linux cloud environments, like CentOS, Ubuntu, or CoreOS, to support modern web technologies: LAMP, MEAN, Drupal and Elasticsearch
Experience setting up development environments and mechanism using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Maven and Jenkins or similar tools
Experience in scripting languages like Python, Bash, PHP, Java, JavaScript, Node, etc.
Experience in build tools like Git, Ansible, Chef, Puppet etc. for continuous integration
Knowledge of container-based virtualization technology like Docker
Integration experience in building and using APIs
Experience applying industry web, architectural and security standards and best practices
Experience in mobile device management for various versions of cellular and tablets
