We are looking for an expert in data modeling and analysis who excels in multidisciplinary teamwork and who stands out for his leadership and his ability to complete high-impact mandates.

Your main challenges

To have a good understanding of the business needs and processes.

Develop an expertise in the field of money laundering risk management.

Work in collaboration with various stakeholders with different expertise (technology, data science, financial crime control)

Support and develop financial crime detection models.

Explore large volumes of data and test different modeling approaches in order to build effective financial crime detection models.

Ensure the quality and integrity of data used for modeling and visualization purposes.

Recommend approaches to optimize financial crime detection and reduce false positive alerts.

Identify, develop and document relevant variables based on business needs.

Design, test, document and deploy detection models.

Present, using effective visualizations, the results and performance of the models.

Contribute to financial crime reporting activities.

Perform ad hoc analysis and present results in a clear and concise manner.

Collaborate with different stakeholders and act in a solution mode.

Very good ability to popularize and communicate complex information.

Desired profile:

Completed Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant experience or completed Master's degree and 4 years of relevant experience (in statistics, data science, mathematics, computer science or a related field).

Excellent knowledge of modeling techniques such as decision trees, neural networks and regression.

Excellent knowledge of unsupervised approaches.

Advanced knowledge of SAS and SAS Miner.

Expertise in data visualization techniques.

Excellent knowledge of SQL.

Experience in fighting financial crime, an asset

Knowledge of PowerBI

Knowledge of R, Python, an asset.

Knowledge of bank data warehouses, an asset.

Customer experience and solution oriented attitude.

Be proactive, innovative and committed.

Strong collaboration skills.

Good communication and influencing skills.

Bilingual (spoken/written) French and English.
