Come join the National Bank Financial team!  This National Bank sector offers wealth management services and advice to its clientele.  

This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence in Wealth Management.

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to determine business intelligence, reporting and data analysis needs. You will work closely with business users and our IT group to transform data into information that will be used to make sound business decisions.

Your main challenges

• Serve as an expert and representative for the business unit on various committees, mandates or initiatives
• Understand business issues and collect, document and analyze the various stakeholders' needs
• Help develop and improve an analytics foundation that is in line with the Bank's target environments and ecosystems (Cloud system)  
• Suggest innovative solutions for data management, analysis and development, as well as the production of tools to proactively manage this dimension (e.g., dashboards)
• Make the necessary improvements/corrections to systems and management reports to ensure integrity and relevance of data
• Develop and maintain dashboards to increase client knowledge and support the sector’s business projects
• Participate in discussions with stakeholders and help organize the sector’s dashboards (communication, feedback, acceptance tests) 
• Participate in change management and coordinate the rollout of various solutions in the sector
• Keep business needs documentation up to date and collaborate with the various business, IT and support stakeholders
• Demonstrate attention to detail and diligence
• Define and organize tasks, responsibilities and priorities
• Demonstrate agility and openness to learning new tools
• Work with team members to achieve our shared vision, values and objectives

Target profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business intelligence, information technology or statistics
• 3-5 three years of data science or analytics experience in a business intelligence or market analysis sector, as a consultant or similar role, preferably in the financial industry (an asset)
• Excellent knowledge of quantitative methods
• Highly proficient in SQL
• Excellent knowledge of Power BI and DAX (SSRS, an asset)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Power Apps, Power Automate, an asset)
• Knowledge of R and/or Python, an asset
• Excellent ability to analyze, summarize and communicate information
• Diligence and ability to take charge

• Team player with the ability to positively influence and motivate stakeholders
• Adaptability in a transformation context 
• Leadership and communication skills, initiative, independence
