We have several opportunities available to join our exceptional Corporate Tax Team in Melbourne – which provides a broad range of taxation services to the top end of town corporate groups, and major foreign owned multinationals.  Our team is well established and led by some of Australia’s leading tax practitioners – with significant client opportunities and growth, ready and waiting for new team members to support and use as an anchor to further their careers.
 

As a senior consultant in our team you would have a high degree of personal interaction and visibility with our clients, and with our leadership team of Partners, Associate Partners and Directors – who are committed to supporting the development of all team members.  We pride ourselves on our strong team culture and in providing exceptional career and development opportunities to our staff at all levels which are supported by a variety of technical training, development forums and team events. 

Your key responsibilities

• Support the provision of income tax compliance and advisory services on your allocated corporate client accounts
• Support engagement managers and partners in the overall management of those accounts and associated business development activities
• Supervise and providing on the job training to junior team members (consultants and graduates) in the execution of their tax compliance and tax advisory services
• Contribute to tax transformation projects that enable clients to enhance, improve and automate their income tax compliance processes
• Collaborate with other local and global experts and resources within our network to deliver outstanding services to our clients

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

• Australian tax experience ideally gained in a top tier or second tier accounting firm, corporate, government entity or legal environment
• An ability to develop strong and broad relationships with clients and team members
• Ability to assimilate complex and technical information in clear, succinct and well-informed communications to key stakeholders including our clients
• A broad commercial awareness and interest in the dynamics of working with large corporate clients

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Tax accounting skills with experience in reviewing tax effect accounting calculations and reconciliations;
• Experience or interest in tax digital technologies and data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau and RPA
