 position Overview:

Reporting to the Senior Manager - Contract Management, the successful candidate manages the overall relationship and performance of vendors providing services to the Bell Canada Network Provisioning Wireline Team across Ontario.  In addition, the Senior Consultant works closely with Procurement, Legal, Finance and Operational Engineering and Construction teams to ensure best in class contract delivery. 

 Job Duties / Accountabilities:

• Develop and maintain the overall strategy for contract management across Ontario
• Leads all vendor management and outsourcing program activities and supports the business in the negotiation of contractual terms, conditions, due diligence, and pricing
• Governs, reviews, and reports on the Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), and Request for Quotes (RFQ) processes, and ensures these processes are consistently followed
• Track and analyze contracts with a focus on vendor capacity, performance, and spend
• Developing protocols for contract dispute resolution
• Evolve tools/processes to build efficiencies and enhance automation
• Proactively identify cost savings/simplification opportunities with Procurement

 Critical Requirements / Competencies:

• University degree in Business Administration or Procurement or equivalent experience
• Previous Construction Industry and Telecom experience
• 7-10 years of experience in managing functions dealing with planning, procurement management, relationship management and vendor management
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute conflicting demands in a high pressure environment
• Excellent analytical, evaluative and problem-solving skills and ability to make sound, logical decisions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills: ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and written to both Technical and Managerial stakeholders

 Preferred Requirements:

• Purchasing or Supplier Management training or expertise
• Professional designation related to the field of procurement
• University degree in Business Administration or Procurement
• Bilingualism is an asset (English and French
