Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Consultant within the Mining and Metals market team as part of the Supply Chain & Operations Competency, in our Perth office. Our focus is on improving our client’s operational performance, directly contributing to bottom line value, through. You can expect to work with clients to analyse, evaluate, and enhance performance in the areas of either Asset Management or Mining Operations.
Your key responsibilities
- Transforming practices to improve asset reliability and productivity
- Establishing end to end operating models that enable major business transformation, driving integration and alignment right across the mining value chain
- Helping our clients identify and deliver value opportunities
- Provide mining concept knowledge to other EY teams so that they can better align solutions to our customers’ needs
- Help establish practical and innovative technologies that improve the effectiveness of operational decisions and or production efficiency and cost.
- Work as part of a diverse, world-wide team to share and implement leading practices with our clients across the globe.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role you must have
- Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge in Mining Operations. Demonstrate ability to quickly learn new processes and uncover new offering that may assist our customers.
- Drive high-quality work within expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure clients are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
- Build relationships with client personnel and deliver quality client services. Strive to assist our clients uncover additional areas of opportunity and manage the business development process.
- Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess what the firm can deliver to serve clients.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree in engineering (Mining or Mechanical).
- Deep knowledge in one of the specific areas of expertise, Mining Operations or Mining Asset Management.
- At least 2- 4 years of recent operational or consulting experience, focusing on the mines and metals industry
- Bring your expertise, focusing on ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders to identify, design and implement solutions in operational environments.
