Our ITS practice helps our clients effectively manage their global tax issues, challenges and opportunities efficiently and responsibly. As part of a global team of 35,000 tax professionals in 150 countries, you will be part of the only specialist ITS practice in the Perth market focused on working with our clients on their international tax affairs. 

 Our Perth Team is an integrated and collaborative team of tax professionals advising the best clients in the Perth market.  We are currently looking to add to our international tax team with specialists at senior consultant level. The role is offered on a flexible full time or part time basis.

 About the opportunity

 With significant changes to cross border rules arising from the OECD BEPS program and other global initiatives, this is a growing and dynamic focus area for our clients.  As a result of continued global focus on multinationals, together with growth and momentum in our business, EY’s Perth ITS practice is looking for a Tax Specialist. 

 Working with a global network of talented advisors, this role will deliver timely international tax advice, responsive services and work products that exceeds client expectations. 

  About you 

In your role you will:

• Help Perth based and inbound global organisations structure their transactions tax efficiently, mitigate tax risk, and comply with tax laws in the most effective way
• Provide advice on the application of domestic Australian tax law and tax treaties, including both established law (thin capitalisation, controlled foreign companies etc) and recent developments, including BEPS 2.0
• Provide tax planning and structuring (inbound and outbound) solutions
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel 
• Build strong internal relationships within the ITS teams in Perth and globally as well as other service lines, especially Transfer Pricing  
• Support ITS leader and team members

 We’re looking for people with the following experiences:

• Experience in tax consulting within a top tier accounting firm, corporate, business consulting or legal environment
• Strong commercial acumen
• Exposure to or an interest in international tax will be a distinct advantage
• Ability to develop relationships with clients and provide a high level of client service
• Excellent interpersonal, engagement and time management skills
