As the Senior Communications Adviser supporting the Animal Health and Welfare Directorate, you'll play a key role within our work programmes. You will support the Director and relevant teams to drive and deliver communications related work for animal health and animal welfare activities.
In this Directorate there is complexity and challenge, so no two days are the same. This role requires strategic nous and tactical know how. The work we do is important and often contentious, and this role provides a stimulating and important opportunity.
You'll be developing and implementing stakeholder and communications plans that go above and beyond the standard template. We need someone who can be creative and push the boundaries to reach our goals. You will be writing web content and targeted communications.
You'll also need to be flexible to jump in and help others in the team on the variable issues that appear daily.
You'll have a good risk radar and nose for innovative message delivery.

You'll have a proven track record for communications and engagement, the ability to think strategically and a keen eye for detail. You'll show initiative and be a self-starter whilst also being a creative problem-solver.
