What is the opportunity?
As a Cloud Security Developer, you will be responsible for the DevSecOps areas of public cloud adoption by designing and developing innovative security solutions around governance, vulnerability scanning, monitoring, chaos engineering, and daily security and compliance efforts. Your work will help the organization shift security left, while simultaneously improving the experience for our development community.
What will you do?
- Build policy-as-code preventative and detective controls according to RBC’s cloud control objectives, while using modern automation, config as code, and TDD principles to bring reliability
- Build automated reporting and monitoring solutions to provide security feedback developers and help shift security controls left in the SDLC
- Build automated scanning and alerting solutions for security coverage across environments and identify security gaps
- Communicate and collaborate with application developers to remediate security vulnerabilities for their applications and/or resources
- Communicate and collaborate with the security architects to identify security gaps and come up with solutions to remediate them
- Work with various vendors to develop integrations between their offerings and RBC infrastructure while adhering to RBC’s compliance standards
- Brainstorm and collaborate with the team members to build POCs and experiment with new security tools and technologies
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have:
- A relevant degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent practical experience
- Strong experience with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering
- Leadership skills to own and lead a project from start to finish
- Security mindset for building safe and secure products
- Experience working with one of the major public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM, CFN and Terraform
- Proficiency with Python, Bash or any other scripting language
- Experience designing and building CI/CD systems with multiple components
- Strong experience working with container tools and platforms (Docker, K8s, OCP etc.)
Nice to have:
- Experience with SIEM solutions like Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog etc.
- Cloud or security certifications
