What is the opportunity?
In the role of Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible helping RBC internal teams migrate applications to Cloud. You will identify, research, analyze, recommend, and execute solutions to drive an outstanding client experience and strong business impact. You will lead and influence partners across the enterprise including on premise and cloud technology partners. You will be constantly challenged to learn and adapt to multiple cloud technologies from different vendors.
What will you do?
Guide teams to build cloud native application solutions
Establish credibility by quickly acquiring and demonstrating subject matter expertise and deep knowledge in TI environment
Lead and implement complex software projects of various scopes and types through problem identification, defining an approach, planning, organizing, and execution
Contribute to the unique culture of TI group by continually demonstrating commitment to coach and develop the team and grow the professional capabilities of the group and yourself
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
Experience with any public cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform
Experience with any scripting language: Perl, Python, PHP, JavaScript
Infrastructure-as-Code experience preferably with Terraform on Azure.
Knowledge of end to end application lifecycle
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data science or other quantitative field
Nice to Have
Java Spring knowledge
Knowledge of Ansible/Jenkins
Knowledge of DevOps concepts and processes such as continuous integration/deployment.
Experience with Kubernetes concepts such as Pods, Operators and Custom Resource Definitions.
