The Bell Cloud Practice is looking for a Senior Cloud Architect with deep interest in driving customer value and operational efficiencies when migrating workloads supporting our customers’ cloud transformation journeys. Our Senior Cloud Architect is responsible for technical team leadership of migration teams through large, complex infrastructure engagements in medium to large enterprise environments, and is supported by senior resources from the Cloud Project Management, Cloud Advisory, Cloud Migration and Cloud-Native teams as required. Drawing on both technical and business integration acumen, this is a customer solution lead role.

In addition, this senior resource will have the opportunity to contribute to and continuously evolve multi-cloud and hybrid cloud adoption and optimization best practices and tools. 

Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate and put forward the salient issues to all levels of management is important. We are seeking a team player with excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and highly developed problem solving abilities.

Job Duties/Accountabilities :

Working collaboratively with other cloud specialists, build out and manage the Bell multi-cloud and hybrid cloud migration best practices processes and tools

Interacting with senior Cloud Practice members and customers to build out the customer’s cloud adoption and optimization plan

Document problems and solutions that address technical issues

Technical mentoring and coaching to other technical team members

Migration lead for team of migration specialists

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies :

Computer Science, Engineering or Math background preferred

Experience facilitating discussions with senior leadership regarding technical / architectural trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation

Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges

Experience in seamless hand-off of migration projects to managed services

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

Minimum AWS, Azure and/or GCP certified solutions architect intermediate-level credential, senior-level credentials and/or additional specialty certifications ideal

College or University Diploma, related STEM background or related experience

10+ years of IT Infrastructure experience including data center modernization, virtualization, VMware, Hyper-V, IaaS and/or PaaS

5+ years experience in a lead role in cloud migration projects of >40 VMs, larger projects preferred

5+ years hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of compute, storage, database, security and network solutions for customers

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with configuration management using CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet or Ansible

Experience in basic administration of databases

Experience with integration of cloud services with on-premise technologies

Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements

Knowledge of data storage solutions
