The Office of the Corporate Vice President (Security) is currently hiring a Senior Business Manager to report to the Chief of Staff - Office of the CVP Security.
As part of the Security HQ Staff team, this is an opportunity to join a fast paced, continually evolving environment built on integrity, trust, and a growth mindset. The Business Manager will need to be organized, agile, comfortable with ambiguity, multi-tasking, and a quick problem solver.
In this highly collaborative role, he/she/they will be responsible for executing our security ROB in a tie relationship with our CoS and the entire office of the Security CVP, as well as organizing country visits, internal orchestration for deal acceleration/unblocking sessions, managing partner/customer engagements and following up on activities.
This role requires a strong understanding of a business management role with the ability to drive tangible business outcomes while balancing customer/partner needs and internal priorities. It requires someone with a huge desire for growth and learning in a moving environment, you shouldn’t be afraid of managing changes.
The position also relies heavily on the ability to collaborate effectively across the CSA Org , MCAPS Geos and HQ Staff team and many other Microsoft stakeholders to orchestrate, manage and resolve any issues or alignments. Key stakeholders include Business Solution Marketing, Engineering, GTM, Account teams, Staff teams, SLT, and business partners such as BD, SPT, DWR, CELA, HR, Finance, etc.
Responsibilities
Create an end-to-end strategy and process for the CVP President's customer and partner engagement aligned to the EMEA HQ team's strategy, goals, and objectives, including:
Establishing criteria for prioritization/selection approach of Customers and Partners engagements (Industry, compete, deal escalations, breakthrough opptys, exec sponsorships, etc.). Combination of proactive planning + agility to react quickly to high priority/time sensitive requests
Ensuring high quality/high impact meetings by actively managing the preparation and pre-meeting planning (briefings, bringing in the right teams or individuals together, ensuring tangible outcomes, connecting the dots across stakeholders, etc.)
Managing the in-meeting notes / action tracking / follow up / orchestration (& helping to draft customer/partner communications while grasping the CVP Security 'voice' and appropriate tone
Proactive planning and ongoing engagement for Executive sponsorship accounts to stay updated on strategy and progress, maintain relationships, and drive the follow through actions internally/externally
Proactive planning and management of Country Visits and Executive Sponsor Relationships
Creating a structure for tracking engagement impact through established KPIs and evolve strategy based on insights
Active problem solving and partnering with Security Extended Leadership team and business partners to ensure company priorities are being achieved and customer/partner satisfaction is at a high.
Tasks include:
Support for Project management (VSU, MS events: MSR prep, Ready, Inspire, CISO summit etc..…. deal coaching sessions, readiness plan, All hands, … and other key Security ROBs)
ROB orchestration + establish a workback schedule for each ROBs
Building agenda and coordination with EA for attendance
Operational support (help building charts, PPTs, Analysis, Excel reports, Agenda for team meeting, key DT deals reporting (WIN Wires), consolidating deck for deal coaching, MSR …)
Consolidation of team insights/contribution and helping ensuring deadlines
Taking notes: Minutes of team meeting, and ensuring follow up with the team/owner
Support on ad hoc analysis
Qualifications
Extensive experience in Business management, project management, marketing and operations or within a customer/partner division; or other strategy roles.
High level of discretion in handling confidential information, professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company.
English Fluency (written and verbal) and Exceptional messaging and writing skills
Business maturity and experience working with senior executives
Ability to work independently but seek guidance and coaching, as well as have flexibility to evolve approach as needed.
Ability to meet tight deadlines, great organizational skills, ability to juggle multiple critical requests.
Ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly
Ability to listen and connect the dots
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all communication deliverables
Strong cross-group collaboration skills and ability to drive coordination across all levels and stakeholders
Strong track record of program management and ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously, and drive strong work-back plans
Curious and appetite to lean and Humility
Empathy and Anticipate needs from the team is key
Understanding of Microsoft’s commercial business solutions, including customers and partner ecosystem highly recommended.
