What is the opportunity?
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on, and savvy Agile Coach to help us mature and scale Agile practices throughout RBC. As a key collaborator within the Agile COE you will bring your energy to engage and excite the communities you work with. You will be responsible at an enterprise level to build and support an Agile enablement ecosystem with a focus on fostering relationships with partners across the enterprise. You are a strong communicator and collaborator. You are able to take Agile concepts and ideas and articulate them in articles, blogs, and other literature that is easily understood and consumable. You will be successful in this role as a self-starter, an independent thinker, and someone who has a learning mindset.
What will you do?
- Partner with Lines of Business (LOBs) to design and implement scaled Agile transformation initiatives focused on driving business outcomes and optimized end-to-end delivery
- Coordinate and facilitate the Agile COE's Liftoff workshops to enable the roll out vision and adoption of RBC's Agile archetypes
- Provide hands-on consulting support to LOBs on their agile adoption and maturity journey by recommending and implementing best-in-class approaches and practices aligned with the agile mindset
- Work with others in the Agile COE and RBC Agile communities to evolve the enterprise Agile standards, processes and methodologies
- Provide ad-hoc coaching and mentoring to agile practitioners
- Collaborate with the agile COE and practitioners to build strong, self-reinforcing communities of practice across RBC
- Continually enhances own skills and builds knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business and information systems
- Prepares and delivers presentations to technology partners and senior management selecting the appropriate approach based on the audience
- Contribute to the development of content and intellectual property for the Agile Knowledgebase
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
- Advanced knowledge of Agile principles, mindset and frameworks, particularly within the RBC context
- 6+ years of hands-on Agile delivery and/or Agile practitioner (i.e. Scrum Master, Product Owner)
- 2+ years on hands-on experience of implementing Scaled Agile transformation in a complex environment (SAFe, Scrum at Scale or LESS)
- Ability to thrive in a fluid and dynamic environment with excellent organizational skills
- Strong ability to impact and influence without formal authority; confident and approachable and able to deliver results by building strong relationships with stakeholders
- Strong collaboration and networking skills, and comfortable interacting with people at all levels of the organization effortlessly
- Outstanding presentation, facilitation and written communication skills
Nice to have:
- Post-secondary degree in business or technology-related field
- Certification in at least one Agile designation is a plus (CSP, CTC, CEC, ICP-ACC, SPC)
- 8+ years of professional work experience
