Job Description

A career in finance at National Bank means contributing to the Bank’s transformation and having a direct impact on clients. As a Senior Advisor, you will support the performance management of the Finance sector's processes, participate in project delivery and help solve complex, process management issues. 

Your role 

  • Diagnose teams’ various activities to make recommendations to transform, simplify and improve them as needed
  • Build and maintain partnerships with various internal stakeholders as part of process management, transformation and simplification
  • Act as a business analyst and/or process advisor for cross-sector projects
  • Support and equip managers and employees in managing process performance from end to end and in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and facilitate workshops to redefine the activities of the sector’s teams
  • Support and equip managers and employees in permanently integrating new processes into their current operations
  • Be actively involved in prioritizing projects while taking into account constraints, stakeholders and change management
  • Help develop and disseminate information sessions on new processes

The Finance sector process management team is dynamic, highly motivated and experienced. Its mission is to create value by identifying optimization opportunities while developing and helping to implement optimization and transformation initiatives that impact Finance sector processes. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Finance Process Management.

Required skills 

  • A completed bachelor’s degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience, or a completed master’s degree in a related field and 7 years of relevant experience
  • CPA designation or equivalent experience
  • Experience in business analysis and process review
  • Experience in project delivery
  • Proven communication and leadership skills, and creativity
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to summarize information
  • Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French)

Preferred skills 

  • Knowledge of banking industry activities, an asset
  • Knowledge of SAP accounting modules, an asset
