Full time position

The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet's (DPMC's) purpose is to advance an ambitious, resilient and well-governed New Zealand.

The COVID-19 Group, within DPMC coordinates and, where necessary leads, the all-of-government management of the ongoing pandemic.

 

Mō tÄ“nei tÅ«ranga mahi | About this role 

The Senior Advisor Readiness & Planning role is to support the National Readiness & Planning programme and the Covid-19 Chairs Board priorities and performance measures. The role will work with others across the COVID-19 response system to deliver a continuous improvement culture across agencies. The role will be part of a team that works with a wide range of agencies in a manner that builds trust, openness, transparency and accountability.

We select on capability and welcome a wide range of applications where the candidate can demonstrate experience in the following:

  • Experience in continuous improvement of operational arrangements, systems and processes.
  • Experience in advising and supporting people at all levels of an organisation
  • Excellent relationship management skills including experience building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strategic, conceptual and critical thinking skills and strong analytical ability
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of the machinery of government would be an advantage

Salary range for this position is $95,000 - $110,000 including Kiwi Saver contributions.
