We’re looking for a Senior Advisor to assist Operations leaders in planning and executing the accelerated transformation in their sectors.

As part of the Process and Transformation team, you’ll help accelerate and coordinate the Operations transformation by working on strategic initiatives with a Bank-wide impact.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Business Process Integration.

As Senior Advisor, Operations Transformation, you'll be involved in several aspects of the transformation of business sectors. Your main responsibilities will be to execute the sector’s strategy, deliver large-scale transformation mandates and provide coaching and support for cross-sector practices and learning.

You'll exercise your leadership skills daily to advance discussions and ensure the activities in the sector's transformation plan are carried out. You’ll direct the transformation process in close collaboration with stakeholders, promote the target business vision and influence strategies and activities aimed at making it a reality.

Your analytical skills, discipline, ability to deliver concrete change and engaging leadership will help you succeed.

Your role :

• Advise on the strategic guidelines for a sector and for Operations. Promote strategic discussions in the sector. Facilitate the execution of strategic components (business vision, target, etc.)
• Play a strategic role in executing and delivering projects. Diagnose priority situations and help solve complex problems
• Support and coach transformation stakeholders in action or on specific mandates. Stay abreast of best practices, adopt them and share them. Implement and support cross-sector practices
• Be actively involved in the governance and execution of the sector’s transformation plan in close collaboration with stakeholders. Document priority initiatives (business values). Establish a pace for delivery that helps achieve the expected business value
• Inform stakeholders about the progress of transformation initiatives and influence them by effectively sharing the Operations vision and information about complex situations
• Create and promote an environment conducive to change
• Engage cross-sector Operations teams and get the right experts involved based on transformation needs
• Seize opportunities to enhance the client and employee experience

Competencies required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience OR master’s degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience OR university certificate/undergraduate diploma from the National Bank University Program and 8 years of relevant experience
• At least 5 years of experience in the analysis and end-to-end delivery of transformation initiatives
• Proven leadership skills and ability to influence senior management
• Proven change management skills
• Proven ability to learn about a business domain and highlight its key elements.
• Knowledge of the banking industry and operations, an asset.
• Ability to quickly grasp and resolve complex issues and make appropriate recommendations
• Ability to deal with ambiguity
• Bilingualism, spoken and written (English/French), essential
