As part of a team of investment advisors, the Senior Advisor Financial Planning is called upon to act as a client consultant by providing high-level expertise in financial planning and optimizing business opportunities by offering related products (insurance, etc.). Flexible workplace: Red Deer, Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta.
Key Financial Planning responsibilities (max. 75% of the time):
Assess and identify clients' financial planning needs and propose appropriate solutions
Write all types of financial plans (partial and complete) and retirement projections and follow up with clients
Develop with clients an action plan adapted to their situation and direct its implementation
Establish a relationship of trust with customers in order to ensure their loyalty and initiate proposals to go beyond their needs
Answer questions from the team's investment advisors and investment assistants in the area of financial planning and pension plans
Contribute to the improvement and evolution of work processes
Establish and maintain effective communications
Monitor market developments and keep abreast of trends in order to propose the necessary adjustments
Key business development responsibilities (minimum 25% of the time):
Identify and develop business opportunities and promote cross-selling by offering related products and redirecting customers to our internal partners (personal networks, sales and insurance, etc.)
Generate the entry of new assets, new customers and contribute to the increase in the profitability of the team's portfolios
Offer sales-consulting services according to the profiles and needs of customers
The incumbent will be assigned specific business development objectives and will be measured against the achievement of these objectives
Competencies Required
Completed bachelor's degree, related to the industry, and six years of relevant experience or Completed master's degree, related to the business line, and four years of relevant experience
Financial Planner Designation Obtained
Financial Math Skills
Oral and written communication skills
Developed sense of customer relationships (internal and external)
Significant experience in business development
Good knowledge of the field of investments and wealth management
Varied expertise (personal taxation, estate planning, pension plans), desirable
Be results-oriented
Have business acumen, political acumen, know how to negotiate and show perseverance
Know how to plan
Bilingualism (spoken/written), French and English
