About the Team:

Reporting to the Senior Manager – 4G/5G Core, the successful candidate will function in a team consisting of highly skilled architects and engineers responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and development of our 4G/5G Core network.

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

Design, implement, maintain, and operate Bell’s 4G/5G Core network with the “Best Network” objectives in mind.

Innovate new and creative solutions to improve the way we work and deliver our projects.

Partner and develop solutions to create a programmable and scalable 4G/5G core network.

Passionate innovator, willing to improve the status quo, and adapt in a continuously evolving environment (technology, people, and process).

Critical Skills/ Competencies:

Degree in Computer Science, Networking or Engineering

Experience with:

Wireless communications specializing in packet data and/or IP networking

3GPP specifications, and understanding of 4G/5G core network function

Cloud and containerized technologies: OpenStack, Kubernetes (OpenShift)

Development technology stacks: Java, Kotlin, Python, Bash, Camunda, Ansible, Linux (Red Hat)

DevOps models, Agile frameworks, and Lean methodologies

Interpersonal and leadership skills with a passion to see the work through the eyes of the customer

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
