As a Senior Adviser Health & Safety you will be responsible for providing advice, assistance, and support across the Compliance business to enable a consistent approach to operational management of health and safety that is effective and sustainable. To achieve this, you will focus on promoting leadership in health and safety, taking a systematic approach to identifying and managing risk, and involve managers and staff in creating safe systems of work and provide work environments that are injury-free.A key part of the role is to work collaboratively with other team members, the wider Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) and external parties, to ensure a consistent and aligned approach to health and safety is adopted across the Compliance Services Directorate. The role will give you the opportunity to create change at the ground level as we launch our programme. Covering every aspect of health and safety risk management and working with a diverse range of people as we address Priority Critical Risks.

• Have skills and experience in leading health & safety risk management
• Demonstrate excellent organisation and planning skills
• Possess intra and inter-personal skills along with good communication and facilitator skills
• Be able to deliver and maintain concise professional documentation
