Senior Accountant

The Role
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for a broad range of accounting and finance duties that will expand in line with the anticipated growth of the company.  Specifically, your role will involve: 
 

• Month end accounting tasks including posting journals and preparing balance sheet reconciliations
• Assistance with external audits
• Oversee the efficient processing of invoices and payments to ensure compliance with deadlines
• Identify and implement continued process improvements
• Business partnering with key internal stakeholders
• Assist in the preparation of operational budgets and forecasts
• System implementation and process automation improvements
• Assist with ad-hoc finance projects
• Assist with preparation of statutory accounts in compliance with all relevant accounting standards
• Performing monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reporting to trial balance level
• Providing commercial insight to facilitate growth and strategy
• Preparing tax compliance reports including, periodic BAS reporting
• Ad-hoc analysis and reporting

About you

• CA/CPA qualified
• 3-5+ years’ experience in a similar role or chartered environment
• Big 4 or mid-tier first time mover advantageous
• Looking to progress in the role in line with the company’s growth trajectory
• Motivated, self-starter with a focussed but friendly outlook
• Team oriented, you will want to join a fast-moving business for the long term
