About the Role

WSO is looking for an experienced ABA specialist who is ready to join the Primary Inclusion department at our incredible school. As an ABA specialist, you will provide behaviour support to improve the lives of our students across year groups living with intellectual or developmental disabilities, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Responsible for:

• Collecting data and conducting classroom observations and functional assessments
• Documenting and reviewing progress through charting
• Establish individualised ABA programs in line with the student’s IEP
• Writing Behavior Support Plans
• Providing ABA therapy 1:1 or in small groups within the school setting
• Communicating with all stakeholders regarding the student’s programs and progress
• Offering teacher, TA, LSA, and parent training to implement behavioural programs in the classroom and at home.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years solid and demonstrable ABA experience
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology, special education or ABA-specific courses
• Behavior Analyst Certification Board certification, based on level of education and field experience. (RBT, BCaBA or BCBA)
• Teaching qualification
