Job Description:

Reporting into Infinera SDK group based in Ottawa, Canada, this engineer will work closely with the ASIC, DSP & Optical Firmware, Hardware Design, Architecture and Application Engineering teams. Design, and develop Infinera SDK (Software Development Kit) for Coherent DSP ASIC using C/C and Linux OS. Contribute to the pre-silicon software development stage, using architectural models and emulation systems. Assist with post-silicon validation and debug activities.

Key Essential Functions

New product introduction work closely with DSP architecture and ASIC teams to develop SDK for Coherent DSP ASIC

Develop SDK/ ASIC Firmware API and algorithms

Define and execute SDK test plans, supports ASIC Validation process

Be responsible for design documentation and work closely with ASIC and Optical architecture team

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 8 years of experience (Staff)/ 5 years of experience (Sr Engineer) in the job offered or in software development in the communications industry.

5 years of experience and the ideal candidate should have experience in several of the following areas::

Hands-on experience with ASIC Firmware APIs / SDK development

. Hands-on experience developing SDK or FW for Signal Processing devices

Coding and debugging experience in C/C

Linux or VxWorks or similar RTOS experience;

Hands-on experience in Embedded, device driver, and Protocol Software Design and Development
