About the Team:

You will interact with developers co-located in an Agile environment, work in an open space and be part of a global open source community.

Our team is truly committed to open source. Working with us, you will have the opportunity to use the latest open source software and to contribute upstream to major open network automation initiatives (ONAP – Open Network Automation Platform)

You will shape and develop our Network Service Orchestration platform, the core platform designed to automate our SDN (Software-Defined-Networking) and NFV (Network Function Virtualization) enabled intelligent network in real-time.

About Technology, You will deal with a variety of cutting edge Software and Networking technologies that will shape how Bell will transform how networks are build and operated.

 

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

 

You will get to Create a continuous improvement culture. Help shaping an Agile and continuous improvement culture within a team of passionate developers. Coach the team to become day-to-day problem solvers.

Own the agile process & Drive results. You will lead day to day activities (planning, grooming, daily scrums, retros, scrum of scrum, etc) for 3+ software delivery teams, expose & remove problems, make sure value gets delivered, continuously measure & improve the process.

Improve software development practices. Embody and advocate a culture of quality code development.

Learn. Sharpen your expertise in Software-Defined-Networking, Network Function Virtualization and Cloud.

Contribute to the value. Contribute to Product vision, epics/story planning & costing, backlog grooming and even implementation if required.

 

Critical Skills/Accountabilities:

 

An experienced candidate with at least 2 years in a Scrum Master and Agile coach role.

Someone passionate about Agility, team culture, continuous improvement and software development best practices.

Someone who can understand, lead and influence highly technical software development teams. Relevant experience in Java software development a great asset.

Someone enthusiastic who can quickly learn and adapt to new processes & technologies, with a strong aptitude for innovation

Someone passionate about the networking automation domain and relevant knowledge in Networking

A team player who can define, establish and communicate their long term vision, who is adaptable to uncertain and changing needs

A candidate with strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills (A good sense of humour is a bonus!)

 

Preferred Skills:

You have experience working in a multi-team / scaled agile environment

Experience with Kanban/KATA methodologies.

French/English bilingual

You are also a great Java developer.

You have networking experience. (e.g. you have knowledge of ONAP, ODL, Openstack, YANG, TOSCA, HEAT, Netconf, BGP or VPP)

You have experience contributing to open source projects

University degree in software/computer engineering/IT

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
